2023 Event Rescheduled from 9/30/2023 to 10/21/2023 due to weather concerns
The Town of Windermere, Windermere Police Department, and Windermere Police Department Foundation have once again partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for another Bunk Bed Build!
The 2023 event will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 8am until 12pm at Town Square Park (520 Main Street). Due to weather concerns, this event has been rescheduled from 9/30/2023.
To volunteer, please complete the registration form at the bottom of this page. All are welcome, however please note that volunteers under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to participate, and volunteers under age 16 will need a parent or legal guardian present. All volunteers should wear close-toed shoes for safety. Please consider bringing along your own safety gear as applicable (goggles, mask, gloves, etc.).
All beds will be distributed to homes in-need in the Central Florida area.

Donating is easy. You can donate online* with a card or stop by 614 Main Street in Windermere and make a check, card, or cash donation (ask for Diane Edwards).

Check in will be held from 7:30-8:00am at Town Hall (520 Main Street). Sign up by filling out the form below.
Please be sure to also print and sign a Windermere Program and Activity Release Waiver for each participant. Bring your waiver with you to check in on 9/30. Don’t worry if you forget, we’ll have extras!
Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bunk Bed Build
The Windermere Police Department Foundation, Inc. along with Sleep in Heavenly Peace will host an annual Bunk Bed Build on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 8am until 12pm at Town Square Park (520 Main Street). Due to weather concerns, this event has been rescheduled from 9/30/2023. Come give back to the community by building bunk beds for families in need. There is no cost to participate in this event, and it is open to the public. Please be sure to wear close-toed shoes and bring any applicable safety gear as power tools will be in use. This form registers one participant, if you have multiple participants, you will need to complete a separate form for each. Please be sure to download a waiver for each participant as well. You will need to bring this waiver with you to check-in at the event. If you forget, we'll have extra on hand! Participants under 18 must have parent/guardian permission. Participants under 16 should have a parent or guardian present.
