Problems with garbage, recycling, and/or yard waste should be directed to Waste Pro first. You can report an issue directly to Waste Pro online here, or call 407-774-0800.


Please check with the Orange County Property Appraiser’s Office or by phone (407) 836-3111 to verify your address is within the Town limits. See a boundary map here.

Summerport, Keene’s Point, Casabella, Belmere, the area surrounding Reams Rd., etc. ARE NOT PART OF WINDERMERE! Please call WastePro and DO NOT use our system to request service. Doing so will result in delays or missed service.

Problems with electricity/energy should be directed to Duke Energy. You can report an issue on their website, or call 1-800-288-6807. This includes street lamps that are out.

Duke Energy sends out contractors to trim trees that are, or could potentially, interfere with power lines each quarter. The Town does our best to post each quarter the areas that will be affected. Please contact Duke with any concerns you may have related to this.

COVID-19 Customer Assistance

Duke Energy is resuming our standard billing and payment practices, we remain committed to helping our customers experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We realize the financial impact of the pandemic is far from over. That’s why we’re taking a gradual approach, giving those customers who need extra time an opportunity to reach out for assistance. Our resumption of standard billing and credit practices will occur in mid-August. Disconnections for nonpayment and late payments fees will remain suspended until Sept. 1. Credit and debit card fees and walk-in payment fees will be waived through the end of October.

Customers still facing financial challenges can request an extended payment arrangement quickly and easily:

Customers with more complex issues who need to speak with us can call a customer care representative Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 800.700.8744 for residential customers and 877.372.8477 for business customers.
