Oral History of Windermere

The Historic Preservation Board is excited to begin a project aimed at preserving the unique history of our Town. We will be collecting audio/visual histories of our Town from long term residents, in their own words. We are seeking a select few individuals to become interviewers. The selection process is underway and those interested are encouraged to apply. Three or four people will be chosen, and training will then be provided.

Applications can be requested from George Poelker at gpoelker@town.windermere.fl.us. A selection committee will then review the applications and select the interviewers.

This fun and unique project will preserve the history of our Town, as told by those who lived it. We hope you will be a part of it.
