Pedestrian Bridge Closure Notice - SRTS Ward Trail Project
The pedestrian bridge for the SRTS Ward Trail project will be temporarily removed for replacement from approximately June 1 through August 3. During this time, the bridge will not be accessible.*
Travel Advisory: North–south access through this area, including crossing via Main Street, will not be available.
Please plan ahead:
• Use alternate routes north or south of the closure
• Allow extra travel time
• Follow designated detours and crossings
Updates will be shared as the project progresses.

Join the Town of Windermere and Councilwoman Mandy David for FREE American Sign Language classes this summer.
📅 Fridays, June 5–July 31

• ASL 1 (Beginner): 1–2 p.m.
• ASL 2 (Intermediate): 2–3 p.m.
Classes are open to teens and adults. Consistent attendance is encouraged, as lessons build week to week.

The new Ward Trail pedestrian bridge is currently scheduled for delivery sometime during the week of June 15, weather and transportation conditions permitting.
Residents may notice the bridge being transported through Town as it makes its way to the project site.
This delivery is an exciting milestone in the Ward Trail improvement project and a visible sign of progress toward the installation of the new bridge.
We wanted to provide advance notice so residents are aware of the activity if they happen to see the oversized load traveling through the area. Additional project updates will be shared as they become available.
