Development Review Board

Windermere’s seven-member, all-volunteer Development Review Board is appointed by Town Council as a citizen advisory board. The DRB reviews and makes recommendations to the Council on, but not limited to:

  • Development plans
  • Variance requests
  • Home occupation license requests
  • Changes to the code that are consistent with the Comprehensive Plan

The committee may, at times, be required to hold a public hearing to gather information for the Council as it addresses its agenda. This board meets on the third Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise specified.

Whenever possible, the board shall include an architect or landscape architect, an engineer, a person engaged in real estate sales or development, and a natural or environmental scientist.

If you are interested in serving on this board, please send your application to Town Clerk, Dorothy Burkhalter.

Please note that only those who reside within the 2.2 square miles of incorporated Windermere are eligible to join as voting members.

January’s Development Review Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Town Hall (520 Main Street). The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm.
