WINDERMERE’SHALLOWEEN COSTUME PARADE AND

HAY RIDE BRINGS OUT RECORD ATTENDANCE

Almost 300 children dressed as ghosts and goblins, princesses and pirates, to name just a few, took part in Windermere Park and Recreation Committee’s Annual Halloween Costume Parade and Hay Ride. It was a beautiful fall morning where moms and dads, grandparents, friends and neighbors gathered to walk to Town Hall in costume. After snacks, everyone joined Mayor Gary Bruhn in the Town Hall where he read some scary stories.

Then everyone was given an old fashioned hay ride down the back roads of Windermere with a police escort. Before the children left, they were given a goodie bag and were able to put even more treats in their bags as they trick or treated the various businesses in downtown Windermere.
